Glenn Beck’s ”War Room“ Experts Discuss Worst Case Scenarios

February 21, 2009 | Constitution, Economy, Foreign Policy, Founding Documents, Militia

On the evening of Feb 21, 2009, Glenn Beck was joined by Stephen Moore, former CIA operative Bob Baer, and former CIA employee Michael Scheuer, and forecaster Gerald Celente. The panel discusses possible scenarios that could play out in the U.S. in the coming months, and years. Rather than refuse to think about it,  you might want to consider watching this 3-part program that has gathered  these panelists from all fields to address unthinkable scenarios.  As Glenn Beck states: "When you refuse to consider the unthinkable, thinking stops, and when thinking stops, actions become mindless."There are issues here that we all should be thinking about. When times get rough, rough things happen."  Here is a look at what some experts are saying. Part I [youtube iPZi0_p4gg4] Part II [youtube jcIbPTEYNuI] Part III [youtube EOFgTvNqRJE]

Global Community

October 29, 2008 | Foreign Policy, History, President

I tend to forget that we have visitors, and members from places as far off as Russia, the UK, and other parts of Europe. Therefore my writing usually focuses on the trials of the American people, and their particular problems. Even when I write about the origins of our law, I often skim past, or fail to acknowledge the fact that much of American law has its roots in the growth of English Common Law, which developed from the Magna Carta. While we have spread our tentacles throughout the world it is not familiar for us to recognize the fact that our meddling is not always for the greater good. We have, after all, been sold the unhealthy concept that we are a super power whose job it is to police the world. But global governance is more the aspiration of tyrants rather than that of a peace loving people who wish to spread prosperity. I grew up in a neighborhood predominantly populated by immigrants from Italy. I went to a Catholic grammar school with the first and second-generation children of those people. I did have exposure to others, mostly of European origin, but I was not so isolated as not to have interacted with others including a black man who taught me the fine art of playing handball when I was a boy. My ex-wife, and the mother of my children was of Hispanic descent. A wonderful woman that entered my life sometime ago was from the Ukraine. Another whom I have met more recently is a native of Sicily. I have interacted with various peoples over the last decade that have opened my eyes to the beauty of diversity. Without getting into the details of my romances, or friendships, I can tell you that I have learned a great deal through the course of those encounters. Different cultures stimulate interests, and in so doing promote the necessity of knowledge, the process of which should never end. I couldn't begin to tell you why the stability of being with people of like traditions is comforting, while the intrigue of meeting new cultures is so invigorating without realizing that the expansion of the mind is what drives our motives. On the more enlightening side of my encounters with our friends across the sea I find that they are more likely to be informed than we here in America. Some time ago I was on the trading floor of an investment bank speaking to a friend about the coming financial crisis and the role that the FED plays in all of this. He, a trader, was not aware that the FED is not part of the government. However, the Russian immigrant who sat to his left was well aware, and understood the benefits to him of having this bank inflate the dollar. But, when all is said and done I am, after all, an American, and the world revolves around us, or so many would have you think. In reality this is how the world turns to a certain extent. The world reserve currency has been the dollar for many years, although that position wanes. We have consumed more goods than the combination of countries with far larger populations. We were, at one time, capable of producing more goods than a major portion of the world through industrial giants such as General Motors, and General Electric. Our ability to feed the world was, in and of itself, a testament to the greatness of the nation. By and large, Americans had much to celebrate, and much for which they could be thankful. A great nation, with great laws, and the willingness to succeed. Something changed, and not for the better. Over the years our education system has morphed into a playground for leftist ideas by which the average student would simply become a useful tool of the next program. Instead of learning institutions, we now have indoctrination centers administered by teachers whose knowledge of the subject matter is at best rudimentary. Our infrastructure decays as city planners bloat the budget with non-necessities such as freezing units for skating rinks. Bridges, and overpasses crumble across the nation, but we must build multi-million dollar sporting arenas where the populace can forget that the nation is in decline. We are a people that focuses on the inane as the world crumbles, and people throughout the globe ask; what is America doing? I, myself, sometimes wonder if it is possible to have come to this point without the collective consciousness awakening. Then I read the latest headlines about the tribulations of Britney Spears, and all I can do is shake my head in disbelief that such nonsense still sells. The dollar has controlled the world for years. This came about admittedly by the fact that the awesome power of our production and consumption of goods far outstripped the rest of the world. It was an easy task for our globetrotting politicians; men like Henry Kissinger, to first promote the dollar, and then exploit the subsequent worldwide economic dependence. As the largest foreign holder of crude oil reserves, Saudi Arabia was approached with the idea of accepting only the dollar. This accomplished a few things, one of which was to allow the American empire to impose a tax structure upon any nation that would be dependent on the importation of oil, and to control the lifestyle of other nations. As inflation rose through the expansion of our own money supply it had the underlying effect of raising inflation for all of the global population. The currency in reality was not dollars, but oil that allowed for this manipulation. Since, in essence, the dollar was now tied to crude, the fortunes of the world rested on the nation that held the key to the printing presses. As the public segment of our economy expanded, the taxing structure became a transparent inflationary aspect of the pricing structure. Fueled in part by the private sectors success, the promotion of a debt based society, and the need for higher salaries, the ripple effect began to take hold. It ...

The Past and The Present

September 7, 2008 | Foreign Policy, General, History

A few weeks ago Georgian military, with the help of NATO, Israeli, and American ‘contractors', invaded South Ossetia. Before the Russian army entered the fray there were reports that over 1,000 people had been killed. It points to genocide aimed at the inhabitants of the area who live in what is deemed to be an independent state. It does not belong to Georgia, and it is not part of Russia. I used the term ‘contractors' simply because there is not rock-solid evidence that they are soldiers of the particular states. We do know that there were at least one thousand Marines in Georgia one week before, and there are other reports that have stated that as many as 10,000 U.S. troops are in the area. The information is certainly vague, as might be expected at the outset, but Russian, Israeli, and European media are stating clearly that the involvement is there. The Haaretz Daily Newspaper stated that Israel did indeed have a part in the fray. The complete truth of the matter might not be known for sometime as our fabled press continues to work to keep us blind to the reality of the moment. What is most important is that we understand the why of the incursion and how these situations are easily manipulated by the powers that be. One thing is certain that throughout history, and noticeably in the last century, genocide is common. On the night that this war started, Georgian troops began with an engagement of Russian Peace Keepers, and civilians in the area. There was apparently no warning of the strike, and from reports out of Europe it was devastating. Throughout this entire incident, while details may be sketchy at times, do not lose site of the fact that the major media has seen fit to confuse the facts, and collude with government to bring us the story in a way to prejudice our view. It is the same old tactic used to sway our opinion, and come to a point most suited to attain a specific goal. History is essential to our understanding of events that take place today because without it what have we to guide our decisions other than what we are fed through the propaganda outlets. We must also keep in mind that today our education system has seen fit to re-write history to attain the goals most suited to our enslavement. There are no longer truths in the world, only the machinations of those who want to attain certain outcomes. For whatever reasons we have allowed this to take place, we should be well aware that our failing to keep a close watch on our government has silently led us into a second Cold War, or even worse a hot one. Hopefully, cooler heads will prevail, but it is not promising. Russia has already warned Poland of a nuclear response to their missile treaty with the United States. In light of the signing of the treaty Poland has now been told that they will die a nuclear death because of the plans to install the U.S. interceptors in their state. Certainly a very ominous warning that should concern us all. The idea that nuclear war is on the horizon has haunted us in the past. For years the U.S. and Russia were antagonists, but we weren't poking the Bear with incursions right on their border. When the Russians installed missiles in Cuba, President Kennedy took every step possible to have them removed, and while it is not common knowledge, we were very close to going to war. The naval reserves had been placed on active duty, and the Pentagon was making preparations for war. I am sure that those Seven Days in October of 1962 were tense beyond what we could imagine. But the American people were smarter then, many of the adult men around had seen service in WWII, and were in no rush to send their sons off to another war, a war with far more deadly implications for the planet. In the end Russian Premier Nikita S. Khrushchev thought better of the situation, and stopped the placement of the missile installations. Now that we are committing the same acts that the Russians did just over forty years ago, I would conclude that we did not learn anything from that experience, or there are those inside our government who have plans for hostilities. Who do we have today that will prevail and call an end to this potentially disastrous scenario? Since America has become a state wherein support is based on the absurd notion that if we are not in agreement with government tactics we are on the side of the terrorists, we have little leeway for rational thinking. To add to this slimy admonition we have a media hell-bent on colluding with the criminals in Washington. So where do we go from here? Dr. Paul Craig Roberts was an insider who actually worked with some of the people who have been in government and are currently in the Bush administration. He is certain that these neo-cons are itching for a full out war with Russia, and that war could turn out to be nuclear. Russia has already stated that they do not have the technology to counter our smart bombs, so they will retaliate with tactical-nukes. No, its not speculation, nor is it more conspiracy talk. The Russian leadership has clearly stated that this will be their response. I'm sorry if you might have missed it while drinking your beer, watching the ballgame, or taking in the propaganda on any of the major network news broadcasts. Of course there are those who continually question why we should believe the likes of Dr. Roberts. To these folks it does not seem logical that Israel, or NATO, or the U.S. would be instigating a fight. Can we go on being this naive and produce another generation that is not scrounging around in the rubble of what is left just to survive? Let's see if we can answer the skeptics questions with a couple of ...

Aid To Foreign Countries

June 11, 2008 | Constitution, Foreign Policy, Taxes

I must admit, I am not very articulate, not a very good writer. After reading the article US Expected to pledge some $10 billion for Afghans, US expected to pledge some $10 billion for Afghans I felt the need to vent. The admitted debt of the U.S. is approximately $9.4 trillion, but the way government keeps its books, and the head of the GAO screaming that it is much higher, I have to first ask the question; where is this money coming from? A few days ago, A CBS News video was brought to my attention. I posted this video in the RTR Media Section of the site. It is titled: Waiting In The Food Line Where is the money coming from? The money is coming from our sweat and labor. It is an encumbrance placed upon every American. It limits our ability to buy fuel, and food; two essential items of survival. What are we left with? Middle Class Americans forced to wait on a food line, having to rely on private assistance for their daily sustenance. Who would have ever thought that this once great republic would have middle class Americans waiting for handouts. With things like this happening on our own soil, our magnificent government in all its wisdom, is shipping 10 billion dollars to aid Afghanistan. We must conclude, and it is very difficult to digest, that it has been the plan for years now. There have been many books written on the subject by the so-called elite, working to turn America to the same environment as a third world country. We must conclude that this is why there has been a migration of business out of U.S.. This is a self sustaining country. There is and always has been everything here that we need to survive, with just a few raw materials that are must be imported. Moving all our manufacturing outside the country will just cause a collapse of the once great U.S. economy. We must also conclude that this is known by all these well compensated CEO's and board members. There was a time in my life, when I thought this type of aid, foreign aid, was good. I really don't want to see my fellow man suffering, no matter who. If I am able to help it is good, but times have changed, and having Americans waiting on line to be fed, should tell us that there is something fundamentally wrong with this agenda. Hey, it is our tax money, or our children's tax money if you really want to know, that is going abroad, so why do I not have a say in where it goes? Where in the Constitution does it state that these disbursements of funds to foreign countries are lawful? Can we afford to continue being the policemen, and saviors of the world, taking into account our current economic problems? Should we have ever taken on the responsibility of policing and aiding the world in the first place?
